Compassionate ABA Services in Laurel, MD

Helping Young Children Grow with Personalized, Evidence-Based Support

A Warm Welcome, From One Family to Another

I still remember the first parent who came through our doors. Their eyes said it all—exhausted, hopeful, overwhelmed. Their child had just been diagnosed with autism. They weren’t just looking for therapy. They were looking for someone who would actually listen.

That memory drives how we show up for families every day.

At our Laurel-based ABA center, we support children—usually ages 2 to 7—through early intervention, school readiness, and family-centered care. Everything we do is grounded in research but tailored to your child’s unique needs. No templates. No shortcuts. Just thoughtful, compassionate support.

Understanding Behavior Starts with Why

Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) & Tailored Support

Behavior always has a cause. Sometimes it’s obvious, sometimes it’s not—but we’re here to help you figure it out.

Using Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), we look at what’s behind a behavior. Then we build Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that address those root causes—not just the symptoms.

We commonly support families with:
– Emotional outbursts and meltdowns
– Challenges with emotional regulation
– Anxiety-driven behavior
– Social avoidance or withdrawal

This process is designed to help your child, yes—but it’s also here to give you tools, clarity, and peace of mind.

Parent Training: You’re Not Alone in This

You want to help your child. You just need some guidance.

Our Parent Training for ABA gives you practical tools you can use at home, in the community, or during school meetings.

We focus on helping you:
– Respond to behaviors with consistency
– Recognize what your child is trying to communicate
– Reinforce learning during everyday routines
– Advocate with confidence during IEPs and more

We don’t expect perfection. We just want to help you feel more confident, more equipped, and a little less overwhelmed.

Learning Life Skills Through Practice

Building Confidence in Real-World Settings
While we’re not occupational therapists, our programs blend in day-to-day life skills that support long-term independence.

Through center-based therapy and social groups, children practice:
– Dressing and hygiene routines
– Turn-taking and shared play
– Waiting and managing transitions
– Preparing for real-life events like birthday parties or school functions

We use sensory-friendly environments and hands-on activities to help these lessons stick. It’s not always neat—but it’s real progress.
